Ridiculous Lawsuits

  • 99 cent text messages
  • someone got WASTED off one can of beer and is suing the company (& it's not me)
  • Chicago Bulls mascot, the High Five story: a dentist is suing Benny the Bull for ruptering his bicep after an Extreme Hai-five
  • Sue-easy is like match.com but for people who intend to sue companies for specific reasons with lawyers are matched with their cases.
  • Dog owners getting sued by the dog-injurers for being hit and wasting their time/money
  • Albertson's story - someone was shoplifting at Albertsons and made it through the door with the lifted goods (beer, diapers, milk), pushed a cart rapidly, tripped and flipped over the railing, and landed on his face and attempted to sue Albertsons. Nice going.
  • something about a cat. and suing for a leash. really?
  • RR engineer ~ is getting sued for 1.6 million. Someone ran through the rail road crossing with the RR arms down hit a rail road car and is suing the engineer, the train, the RR system EVERYONE for the damages made on his car. WTF?
  • Ambien sleep walking and running into things and cook meals and now are suing the company.
  • Stepmom: southern belle get hit three times by a train at the same crossing. 13 months. same car.

Jobs, raises, money, etc. This makes me want to bring Dave cupcakes or something.
*Menace wants a raise. Here's a list of things he can do to ensure a bump in his salary:
  1. Have a minum expectation for your position
  2. Don't give out a base salary
  3. Know your value - position of power, are you in high demand?
  4. Range, let the company come up with an offer first before you start demanding figures
  5. Emphasize how your skills will help
  6. ?
  7. Be reasonable
  8. Be prepared to be flexible

Callers recommend he threaten to quit. He cuddle with Dave. (What?!) Sell his soul. What does Menace make now? The salary discussion: younger people are discussing what they make to determine their social plans and strategize within their career. It's now illegal for companies to control employees from talking about their salaries, as it was once allowed.

My mom offers her help to Menace and his request for a raise. I guess Mom is Menaces's new agent pro bono? Whatever. That's great.
